✧ The Problem ✧
Part of the 2024 HFES International Symposium in Chicago, Illinois, the Robotics Summit gathered experts for lectures and talks.
To ensure that the team could show illustrations without compromising previous client NDA's, we created new graphics that improved upon and expanded established domain knowledge.
✧ The Ideation ✧
The team explored a variety of concepts that would enable surgeons to make more accurate pedicle placements without hindering their workflow or process.
Semantic color use would give surgeon important information at-a-glance
✧ The Initial Designs ✧
Every screw positioning can significantly influence the rod location in subsequent surgical steps. By intuitively identifying these placements, the system can promptly provide fresh recommendations.
Suggestions are made with an outline, while detected placements are indicated with a filled treatment
✧ The Iteration ✧
The new designs do not require the surgeons to plan, but rather, allow them to save trajectories and place screws quickly, efficiently, and effectively.
